Movies - Are we not men?
Do you know I love movies? You wouldn't think I love movies, seeing as how I avoid many more movies than I actually see. In general, I love sci fi, action, and suspense movies. But not all of them! Well, I think I'd watch almost any sci fi. There are quite a few action and suspense that I'll avoid because of either subject matter or just plain lameity of the cast/script. I'm also a sucker for any historical drama having to do with presidents or the people close to them. I think even if it's not an actual historical drama.
Let me tell you what I'm watching right now. Thirteen Days. Damn it's a good movie. Has me totally on edge, and I know how it ends! It's about the Cuban missile crisis. It's brilliant. I don't even care if some of it is fictitious, I honestly don't know enough about the incident to know whether the behind the scenes stuff is real. The score really adds to the tense mood of the whole film. It's Trevor Jones. I'm not a big Kevin Costner fan, especially when he's doing accents. But he did a good job with the Kennedy-type accent.

The point of all this is that I will never be a Joint Chief. Sometimes this bothers me.

Speaking as someone who hears Boston accents constantly, Costner's accent in that movie was absolutely horrible. People from Boston just don't talk like that. Nobody. Not even the Kennedys.
Are you gonna eat that?

Oh, I didn't mean he sounded like he was from Boston, just that he was consistent about the accent. Much more so than in other films.
