This post is about Star Wars
I'm still ill, but my ears don't hurt, so I put a movie in. A loud, BIG CANDY movie! You may notice I've got music playing. That's because I can't get over how much cooler SW is with disco playing in the background. It would be mega cool if the characters would dance to the music. Maybe I'll write a disco version of Episode 2.

I'd like to say that I really do like this new LJ client I'm using, it's called Semagic. Check it out if you need to upgrade.

... because I have nothing better to do than lounge ill on the sofa in front of the tv and the computer. I managed to do my homework for Structure, either it was exceptionally easy or I have absolutely no clue. I'm picking at my dinner now.

So, on my playlist I have: I love the nightlife, Knock on wood, Ring my bell, Got to be real, Shame, Ladies' night, Funkytown, I feel love, and, of course, Beaver Fever. With the colorful costumes and outrageous aliens, I think Ep II would do well as a disco musical. Of course, I'm also on cold medication, so that may be completely insane. Ooh, I just thought of something. That opera from the Fifth Element. I had something profound to say, but I forgot.

So, you get this nonprofundity. When we sit on the grass, we pick at it. Well, most of the people I know do. Then, on SW, Anakin was picking at the grass. It's like humans have an innate need to remove grass from where it grows. Or, we're exercising our dominance over the grass. Thus spake Zarathustra. Here's a good line, "We live in the real world. Come back to it." That's what Padme says to Anakin. The opera song from 5th Element is a good background for that scene. It's accredited to Sarah Brightman, I wonder if she had more fun with that than anything else.

Listening to disco reminds me of a mini-dream I had this afternoon. I was discussing how, if you own a disco club, you can't go around talking like you own a jazz club. I wish I could remember who the recipient of this wisdom was.

Poll #99713 Spaceships

Which is the coolest ship on Star Wars?

Tie Fighter
Millennium Falcon
Slave I

I say it's the Slave I. I wish that winamp skin that looks like the Slave I had a better user interface, because it looked cool. Wow, there's not a more inappropriate song for the scene in which Anakin's mom dies than "Ladies' Night". Oh no wait, let me try something.... yeah, The Curly Shuffle is more inappropriate. But still, it wasn't her night, was it. I should watch Harry Potter with disco, and see how it goes. Or maybe with hip-hop.
OK, whenever Obi-wan is trying to contact people via his video radio thingy, he says "This is Obi-wan Kenobi..." as if there's another Obi-wan who calls. Oddly enough, Beaver Fever is quite appropriate for any scene involving Jar-jar. Do you think R2-D2 has the force? He seems to "know" stuff. I think I've changed my mind on Anakin, he *is* a pretty good character. I mean, yeah, there are better actors, but I really like how he pulls off the whiney baby stuff. I actually do like that scene in which he tells Padme how he killed all the tuscan raiders. From Tuscany. I'm going to bed now.

i've been using Semagic for almost a year now. it r0x0rs, especially now that it's got full unicode support.

i'm surprised one of the poll options wasn't "yer mom"...mainly because that's the first thing i thought when i saw the question ^_~

I voted other, and I feel that when people vote "other", they should esplain themsleves.

The TIE Bomber. That shit is phat. That's the TIE with the curved-in wings. Whenever I decide to get a Star Wars model (like I did during Christmas when I was in the big Lego store in Downtown Disney), I pick the TIE Bomber over the Slave I.

Word to all ya'll mothers. Tell her I said that.

*Of course*. Bombers don't win in dogfights. WWII taught us that - bomber crew morality rates were high. But then the question was "coolest ship" and I used a different "cool" rating than you did.

And nigga please, mine has an MP3 player.

well, if we were going for "favorite ship to use in a video game" i'd have had to say Naboo Starfighter. it's the only one i could reliably not get killed in while playing Battle for Naboo. but i suck at video games that require reflexes.

Ooh, yeah, I should have put that instead of the plain-ol' garden variety tie fighter.
Date: February 7th, 2003 - 11:05 am
Oh, and I'd still go with the Slave I.
Are you gonna eat that?

Yeah, but you're into world domination.
