My dad had a party at a Frisco Rough Riders
baseball game tonight. Basically, he bought seats for the whole family and some friends for the baseball game. I brought bbcorno
as my guest, and of course my Holly.
First, in case I didn't mention it last year, my dad *hates* having a Big Deal made for his birthday. So, of course, the first thing we think of is to try and get it announced on the intercom. Unfortunately, you have to let them know 24 hours in advance. I guess that's so they can draw it for the jumbotron.
So, we thought all was lost. Then, some guy came by who was leading cheers. He wasn't dressed like a poof, though, so I wouldn't call him a cheerleader. Anyway, Brian and I stood up and told him that it was my dad's birthday, so he lead the whole section in a singing of Happy Birthday for my dad :) We embarrassed him in other ways, too. But that was the funniest.
The other cool thing was these weird mascot things, ZOOperstars
. So, yeah, from the pics on that website, we did NOT expect to see quality entertainment. But they were hilarious! I don't know if I can describe it. Let's just say, this ain't your regular mascot dancing. I was really impressed.
