Star Wars True Confessions - Are we not men?
Star Wars True Confessions
Listen. I like Anakin, and I've decided he's my favorite protagonist in all of Star Wars. So there.

In Adult Swim news, I didn't like the new Birdman. Peanut was lucid. He shouldn't be lucid. I liked the new Sealab. I liked the new ATHF. The news that SGC2C DVDs will be out in the fall is orgasmic. I believe that I salivated.

I read some books. Did I mention this already? Xenocide and Midnight at the Well of Souls. Xenocide was apparently a sequel to a sequel, and Well of Souls is apparently the first in a series. Oddly, neither of them incites me to read more of the series. Not because they weren't good, but because they were so self-contained, my thirst for knowledge is sated. Xenocide, by Orson Scott Card, is better. There were elements in it that invaded my psyche and remain. It was so good, I think if I read the other 2 books I would be dissappointed. There's an odd moral in the story. I kept trying to explain it, but I can't. Basically, it's that even if you are doing something useless and stupid, if you honestly believe it is the only right thing to do, you will be honored. That's exactly what happened to one of the main characters. I'm just completely intrigued by this character, who refused to hear logic, even from those she respected the most. Maybe I can model a character of mine after that character.

Why has my cat placed a dishrag in the water bowl?

Hahaha, and here I always thought it was some crusty old guy. I still can't imagine him becoming fearsome in the least. The mask really was an improvement.

Ender's Game is really good as well, and stands on its own. You're right, though, Xenocide is a really odd book with a strange message. That's kind of a Card theme, which is why i liked him so much.

I missed the new adult swim stuff this week, *sssh*! I have to wait till tomorrow night.

My cats used to constantly pull towels, blankets, papers, whatever into their water bowls to try and cover them up. It means that you haven't been watering enough, so the water needs to be hidden from others, or that the water is "dirty" and needs buried. They only stopped because i make a point of not having anything like that near the bowls =) The boycat still tries to pull the wall into the bowls from time to time, though.

(you've been accepted into the borg my friends list, mostly because you love Zorak. Any friend of Zorak is a friend of mine.)

 Re:
That makes sense, because the only time he put things in there was when I was gone for 14 hours. The scary thing is, the dishrag *wasn't* near the bowl. Anything he can pick up, he can carry throughout the house.

 And another thing
I do not feel inclined to read the prior Orson Scott Card books or the sequel to Xenocide because there will be no Qing-jao, and all of his other characters paled in comparison to that one.

I'm actually dissappointed that there is a sequel (I just found it in the bookstore the other day). I liked the fact that everything didn't wrap up nicely at the end. It would have been better for the sequel to occur 50 years after, with only allusions to what happened in the interim. That's my opinion.
