I can't even think of anything to discuss. I guess I'll talk about the shows I like.
Or rather, what I've been watching.Jackie Chan Adventures
- I'm jealous! I want a cartoon that stars me! Ok, sure, Jade is the actual star of the show, she just happens to be Jackie's niece. His uncle is the funniest part. I'm glad Toruu (sp?) finally works for the good side. I like that the villain's name is Valmont, because that's sorta like Val. He's a bit too much spoiled brat and not enough real villain for me, though. Shendu is cool. I really like this show, because it has good characters, interesting plots, and good animation. Art style isn't my favourite (is it just me, or does Capt. Black resemble Dr. X?) but at least they aren't doing that stupid animation style like on some other US-made action cartoons. Hell, it might not be US for all I know. I should find out more. I want a talisman (not the astral projection one).Samurai Jack
- hence why I said "what I'm watching" rather than what I like. It's getting better, really. But the base problems remain. Jack is not an interesting character, aside from the kicking of ass. Occasionally he meets an interesting character, but they're all episodic. I think it might be a better show if he acquired a group of travel buddies. Like, that Mr. T lookin' guy from the other day, and that weird creature with the flowers on its head that followed him like a puppy. Are people all ga-ga over this show? I don't know anyone who watched it prior to the schedule change, and now that Cartoon Network have us from 8-9:30 (Central) they took a week off of Pokemon to show us MORE Samurai Jack. Hopefully that's some form of market research, seeing how many hits they get from their little Code of the Samurai week. We're all thinking "Genndy Tartakovsky left Dexter for this?
" I remember when it first came out, I thought it was going to be really good. But, first ep, and I was bored. Kym liked it, I recall, but she got bored after like, 3rd ep. Because it's boring with only the one no-personality hero.Teen Titans
- I liked it so far, but I've only seen the one episode. It's anime-ish, but it's also American-ish. I wonder who makes it. I hope it's American, because that would say good things about the future of American action cartoons. Anyway, in this episode I watched, this one girl, Starfire, her older sister shows up, and gets all the attention and is better than her at everything, plus she's a bit of an ass about it. I know that's how my sister sees me sometimes. It was kinda fun to watch. The animation style is really neat, but I don't know if the characters will grow on me like they would have to in order for me to watch it regularly.
I think I have more shows to discuss, and I'll add them here rather than adding new posts. If I think of it. I'm all :
