OK, do this. Watch tv. Notice the ads for diapers, formula, and other baby products. See the adults in the ad? See how they look older than you?
They look young to me. Younger than me. And, did you know, the Adult Swim demographic is 18-34. Next year is the last year I'll be in that range. I have more grays now than I ever have. I'm gonna get a haircut this weekend, so I'll take a pic of all the fresh grays that show up on the top of my head. I'm just gonna let 'em come in. If I'm white-headed at age 40, then so be it!
But, on the other hand, how many people look in the mirror and sing "You're so beautiful" to themselves? I mean, besides me. I can't help it; I'm a fan of this face.
So, not to be outdone by me, I've done another sketch based on a panel in the Shooting Star manga. You're probably asking yourself, "Why does she keep doing that? I don't care how sexy it is, I'm not going to read that comic." Valid question, with a perfectly valid answer. I am showing off. I am quite proud of my ability to capture the essence of another artist's work, and so I am making you look. Plus, someone might decide the book is worth buying based on the coolness of the art, and that would make me happy.
