I voted! W00t!
Also, I'm a delegate! W00t! County convention on Mar. 27 in McKinney. Supposedly, there's a social party on Friday, but I forgot which friday.
Also, since there were only two of us, I'm the precinct chair! W00t! I dunno what that means, or what I have to do, but there you go! I wonder if they'd think I was worthy of the position if they heard me saying w00t. Hahaha!

The coolest thing is that the voting was touch-screen! It was a little computer, and you put a little card-thing that the party had in it (precinct-specific, I believe) and then you touch-screen! Like the U-scan at Kroger! It was teh w00t. OK I've said w00t a few too many times. How about a Boo-yah!

What's got me all hyped up, you ask? Aside from the fact that I get to be a delegate, which is what I wanted, I got the Transformers Season 3 pt 2 (includes the short-lived Season 4!) AND the Transformers movie dvds tonight! I will cry when Starscream dies, yes. But I will enjoy when he throws Megatron out into space.

Let's hear it again. Boo-yah!

Those voting machines are one of the most serious threats to true democracy in this country. No, really. Black Box Voting has more info.

Also bear in mind that the Diebold execs have been quoted as saying things like "We'll do whatever it takes to ensure Bush gets Ohio" and whatnot, and that the software in the machines isn't trivially auditable on election day, and leaves zero papertrail to allow independent recounts. It's done flat-out Wrong. There's some nasty crypto involved in doing it right, which you're probably better qualified to understand than i am =)

I'm a total technophile, but i'm still big on punching out little holes to register my vote.
Can you feel the love?

There's no paper trail of my ATM activity, either, and yet, I trust the bank to not fuck me.

Your bank account is not the government (unless you have more lobbyists than i'm aware of =).

My bank account is MY government ;) It commands me to do things, and I do 'em. I am it's humble slave. And in return, it provides me with the things I need. Food, shelter, electronics, dvds...

Raditz becomes a polititian and chaos ensues...sounds like fun!

I just got a letter in the mail the other day. I'm now a registered voter since I've turned 18! Whoo hooo! Now to pay more attention to politics. And the only way that would work is if DBZ characters were involved. -_-
My country is doomed.
Stop asking about milk already.

I ended up not bothering with the primaries, preferring to throw away my vote on a third party at the appropriate time. In fact, I don't think anybody here did vote yesterday, since my sister had some Army thing, and there was a parents meeting at my brother's school yesterday afternoon.

When nobody was home at 8pm, I went to bed, resulting in the annoyance of being up at 5am when it's cold and people make fun of me because I'm never awake that early unless I didn't sleep. The universe hates me.
