I had a really dark dream last night. Then I had another one that wasn't at all dark.
BEGIN DREAM SEQUENCE (this is the dark one)
There was some kind of reunion, and I was there, and some cousin that never got to come to these things was there (fictional dream-cousin), and she was all excited because she had a long-distance boyfriend who lived in that town. I was from that town, but I didn't run with those kids.
So, we had some family stuff, and then we went outside for a smoke, and she was like "Come on! Keith is waiting for us!" and she grabbed me and dragged me to Keith. Keith was a "bad boy". He had a buddy with him, a friend of mine, Doug, and they both had these rocket-powered hover-skates on. Apparently that was the way to travel in-town. Doug was not normally part of Keith's crowd, but I had talked him into hanging out so that I wouldn't be a third wheel to Keith and Crystal. Crystal was acting typical "I'm not from around here, aren't I cool?" and of course Keith was just feeding that attitude. So, they run down to the corner where the crowd is, which was actually about a mile away. I didn't want to lose sight of Crystal because I wanted to make sure she was at least somewhat safe. Doug starts up his hover-skates, and I'm trying to keep up, but I can't because I'm on foot. So he picks me up and hover-skates over to this big crowd of bad kids.
The bad kids are all actin hot, and sortof trying to one-up each other in how cool they are. Crystal is winning because she's from out-of-town, and then this really weaselly guy with a smiley-face tie and smiley-face buttons on his lapels goes "Hey, I'm cool too!" and I just looked at him and said "You are covered in smiley-faces."
In the time that it took me to turn to that guy and disparage him, this crowd of boys was like "Crystal IS the coolest! Let's show her the cool room!" and they all took off. I had a bad feeling about this, and so did my friend Doug, so we rushed over to this old bowling alley that the other kids had gone to.
When we walked in, they were about to gang-rape my cousin!!
I woke up right before I went all battohsai on them.
END DREAM SEQUENCE
Isn't that dark? And odd. Anyway, here's the next dream, which wasn't dark at all.
BEGIN DREAM SEQUENCE
My grandmother had come to town (in real life, she is deceased) and was staying with my parents. We had a nice visit, then my mom said she wanted me to drive my grandmother to Lubbock to go to church. Lubbock is about 300-350 miles away, for those who don't know Texas geography. I was like "Like hell!" My mom got all mad, and so I slipped out the back door and went to the mall with my friends. One of the friends in the dream was an old friend from high school, Tracy. In real life, he has a plastic hip or something, but in the dream he could walk perfectly. We went to the anime shop, and I found the COOLEST Fullmetal Alchemist t-shirt.
It wasn't really a t-shirt, I dunno what it was. It was long-sleeved, and the sleeves were red, but the torso was like a gold color. Not a bright shiny gold, but like, a muted olive gold. Switch your XP color theme to "olive" and see that color? That was the color.
Anyway, on the front it had the Hagaren logo, but in a gold/red theme instead of silver/red of real-life, and on the back it had my background pic from makaioh
. It wasn't made of regular t-shirt cotton, either. It was like, thicker and sturdier. Kinda like ... I have no idea what it was like. But it was a fuckoff cool shirt, and I had to have it. There were lots of other things I had to have, too, and at the end of the shopping spree I had spent $156. The cashier had to get all sales over $100 approved by someone, so we had to wait there for a long time.
When we were done shopping, I went back to my mom's to see if she was still hyper, but she just said "Thanks for being around earlier when your grandmother was here. She really appreciated it." I thought I was going to get bitched out for failing to drive her 350 miles to go to church.
END DREAM SEQUENCE
I wish I had that shirt. It was so cool. I can't begin to describe the coolness.
